Rainbow Eucalyptus trees

"Eucalyptus deglupta"

This tree is native to the rainforest's of Mindanao, which is a small island in the Philippine Island group. It has also been naturalised through some Asian countries and across the Pacific to Hawaii. This tree was mainly imported because it was a quick growing timber tree, and its the pealing bark that exposes the bright multi colors. We found these trees as we were participating the popular activity of Maui called "surviving the road to Hana" The road is very narrow with lots of tight turns steep drop offs and little bridges. These trees were definitely one of our favorites.
